Every painting begins long before I pick up a brush.

Captured during my travels, these extraordinary landscapes, and those like them continue to inspire my work. From the mist-covered fjords of Alaska and the glaciers of Patagonia to the dramatic coastlines of Antarctica and the ever-changing shores closer to home, each place has left its mark on my artistic journey.

Somewhere along the way, I realised I had stopped looking at the world as most people do. I no longer see the sea as simply blue, or the mountains as just green. Instead, I find myself noticing Payne's Grey softened with French Ultramarine, the crisp glacial light of Cerulean Blue blended with Titanium White, or dramatic skies where Alizarin Crimson melts into Dioxazine Purple.

My travelling companions will often smile as I point out that the sea isn't just blue; it's a dozen colours dancing together. Once you begin seeing the world through a painter's eyes, it's impossible to stop.

It is those colours, textures and moments of quiet grandeur that I carry home with me, transforming memories into paintings that invite you to experience these remarkable places through my eyes.
