This September, I’ll be taking Embers Beneath the Ice from the Sussex coast to Mayfair, London, as part of Beauty Out of Ashes at the Shadow Gallery. Alongside award-winning artists Fiona J Rose, Alexandra Spryatos and fellow Sussex artists, I’ll be exploring what this evocative exhibition title can mean to each of us. My painting is staying under wraps for now — but perhaps its title offers a small clue………..

For What Comes Next grew from a quiet reflection on uncertainty, change, and the possibilities that lie ahead.
The open sea became a place to pause, breathe, and look towards the horizon.
This painting has been donated to the Worthing Mind Charity Art Auction, running 18–30 September.
Every penny raised will support local mental health services through Worthing Mind.
